Sports Worldhad reported that an insider told them, "Psy wasn't satisfied with all the things that he did [for the song], so he decided to completely trash the album and start anew." However,Star Newsreported that YG Entertainment had told them, "Psy was going to release a new album this summer including the song 'Daddy', but since it's been a while since his album release, he put a lot of effort into it and his release date was postponed. He's working hard on his album and planning to release his new album including 'Daddy' early next year. He already has many songs he's prepared.
