[ASKKPOP] Psy's issues as landlord continues

Psyis continuing to face conflicts from residents of his Hannam-dong building.

The February 2nd broadcast ofMBC's 'PD Notebook'looked into the ongoing drama between superstarPsyand some of the occupants of his building.

Representatives of Psy claim,"Before he purchased the building, the previous landowner told him that the tenants were contracted to conduct business in the building until December of 2013. After that, they had agreed to leave. However, they have not left to this day."

The business owners/residents of refuted, saying that,"We were asked to leave the building because the previous owners had to have construction done on site. There was no acknowledgment of the fact ownership change was the reason that we were being asked to moved. The only interaction we've had with Psy is when his representatives contacted us and one-sidedly told us to leave."

They further claim to have suffered injuries during their attempt to stand their ground within the building, going so far as to being admitted into hospitals. They state that they are being treated as objects.

To this, Psy's side stated,"We agreed on a settlement of 350,000,000 Won (~291,438.00 USD) in exchange for the tenants leaving on November 30th. We don't understand why they haven't left and aren't complying to the terms of the agreement. Part of the reason Psy purchased this property was the understanding that the tenants would leave in the stated time frame."

The tenants say that without construction taking place, they have no reason to leave. They counter argue that Psy hasn't upheld his end of the agreement.

In short, Psy says tenants must leave as agreed while tenants say they won't leave as leaving was contingent on construction work taking place (which they say hasn't occurred).

Currently, Psy and the tenants are attempting to settle things through legal recourse.
