Psy’s “Gentleman” MV deemed unsuitable for broadcast by KBS

Psy‘s “Gentleman” MV has been viewed by many across the world onYouTubeand social networking sites, but the one channel fans will not be able to watch the music video on isKBS.

A KBS representative revealed,“In the beginning of the ‘Gentleman’ MV, one of the scenes show Psy kicking a ‘no parking’ sign. Due to the display of damage to public property, it was deemed unsuitable for broadcast. Artists’ music videos normally air at the end of variety shows, but because Psy’s ‘Gentleman’ MV has been banned, we cannot air it.”

Another representative stated,“If the ‘Gentleman’ MV is edited, the decision can be reversed and it can be aired. But we predict that the ‘Gentleman’ MV will not be edited due to it receiving such enormous popularity.”

A representative also cleared up rumors of the ban being the result of a feud with Psy’s agencyYG Entertainment, stating,“It has nothing to do with that.”
