You met <Vogue Girl> last December? Twice in half a year. How does it feel to have grown up to be huge rising star?
Seogangjun
I feel really blessed to be known to the public. Also, I have grown up as a rookie actor and experienced so much more since our last meet-up. I feel so thankful for all these opportunity and fan’s love. But at the same time, I feel a little afraid of this sudden fame. If you keep going fast forward, you can stumble and fall so you had better pace down a little at times and prepare yourself for upcoming challenges.

You definitely have received more attention than before.
Seogangjun
It is truly good and I am so thankful for all the attention. Every time people recognize me on the street, it feels a bit weird. "Cunning Single Lady”, which ended not long ago, and the SBS Reality TV show, 'Roommate' have made my name exposed to viewers and made me famous. It is a rare and grateful opportunity for rookie actors like me.

These days 'Roommate' is a huge talk of the internet. A lot of people requested me to ask you how’s it like to live in the Roomate house. How was it at first? Living with bunch of strangers, especially celebrities who seem to have huge ego. It sounds like a very unique experience.
Seogangjun
You are right. When I first decided to join the show, I also was very curious about what’s going to happen. How am I going to cook? Do I need to go grocery shopping, etc. All the curiosity and wondering turned into excitement after the meet-up with the show writer.

How long has it been since you live with other members of the show?
Seogangjun
It’s been two months already. Once a month, we stay together for 5 days and 4 nights at the Sungbukdong Roomate house.
V.G.
Do you keep in touch with any of the members outside the house?
Seogangjun
Sure (laughs). We talk every day in the katok groups chat room. We get along quite well.
V.G.
What about the the members’ attitude being on the reality show? Don’t you feel a little worried that you are on the reality tv show and there’s going to be some kind of vicious editing for fun.
Seogangjun
Living with other members is so fun. All the members are so nice and fun things just happen while we are in the house. So I try not to worry. It is just meaningful to show genuine side of me living with good people like a really family.

Then, who's the leader of the family?
Seogangjun
They are all active and opinionated. DongWook and Se-ho, in particular. SeungWoo is a very good cook almost like mom. He almost always fixes things up for rest of us in the morning, afternoon, and evening. So we decided to take turns and relieve him of the household labor.
V.G.
So now we can see you cook? You don’t seem like to be a good cook (laughs) ....
Seogangjun
Right. Not a good cook and I don’t cook quite often. So, I called up my mom for some help. She’s a real good cook. Her Kimchi Stew is fantastic. So, I just followed her recipe and all the members loved it.
V.G.
What about yourself, living with members of group ‘Surprise’ and ‘Roommate’? Have you changed a lot since you live with others?
Seogangjun
Yes. It is a learning experience and precious opportunity to reflect on myself and be a better person.
V.G.
How is the house you live with the Surprise member? Everyone has their individual rooms?
Seogangjun
No, we all sleep in the same room. There’s no bed. We sleep on the floor. But it’s better for your health to sleep on the floor than on the mattress. Human beings are so adaptive to the environment. Now sleeping on the bed sounds extravagant to me.

What about your personal life? Don’t you wish to have a more private life so you can enjoy the life in campus as a college student and have fun?
Seogangjun
It may sound weird. I am just satisfied with my life now. Before I debuted, I was also envious of my friends going to school and have fun on campus. But now, I just feel so grateful about being able to keep my career as an actor. I cannot be more thankful for all these attention and love from my fans.

It seems like you have become a grown-up much faster. What do you do when you feel stressed?
Seogangjun
Nothing particular. I don’t try to do something when I feel stressed. I just go home and spend some time with members of ‘Surprise’ Living with 5 other members are great relief and I can always depend on them whenever I feel lonely and isolated.

It is a great luck to find out what you want to do for the rest of your life so early. Many of young peole today cannot really find what they really want. Or, simply be afraid to take action for what they want. Any message for young fans who might be still looking for dreams?
Seogangjun
I have become an actor in such a young age. But before I debuted, some people were doubtful if I can really become an actor, even my parents. However, if you want it really bad, it will come true. It’s all up to you. What’s really important is how determined you are. So, don’t ever give up when you are frustrated. Just take baby steps until you finally get what you want.
