SF9’s Chani On How He Reacted To The Kiss Scene With Kim Bo Ra In “SKY Castle”

SF9’s Chani, who has been receiving accolades for his performance in JTBC’s “SKY Castle,” was featured in the February issue of @star1 magazine.

Chani plays the role of Hwang Woo Joo in the drama, and said, “I’m a little similar to Woo Joo in that I’m bright and energetic when I’m with my friends, but when I was in high school, I slept a lot. I even got in trouble for falling asleep [in class] over an open book.”

The budding actor said he thought a lot about how he might portray Woo Joo, a perfect student who grew up under the ideal parents. “I wanted to show a realistic, but charismatic character, but I think I wasn’t able to, so I’m a little regretful.”

On his kiss scene with actress Kim Bo Ra in the drama, he said, “I’ve never been suddenly kissed in my life, so I was really flustered. Even though it was a scene that was laid out in the script, I was shy and flustered.”

He added that his fellow SF9 members are completely addicted to the drama. “They ask me about what happens, but I’ve been telling them to just watch and find out.”
