[ASKKPOP] SHINee's Key talks about being the new MC for 'M! Countdown'
SHINee'sKeyseems happy just as his fans are on his new spot as MC forMnet's'M! Countdown'!
Key had his first recording as a for 'M! Countdown' on March 19 KST with fellow MCCNBLUE'sJungshin. Key's fellow SHINee memberMinhois also the current MC forMBC's 'Show! Music Core'.
At an interview withOSEN, Key discussed his new role,"I was a special MC before, and now I'm so glad I'm a fixed MC. This is the first time in 8 years sinceShinhwawhere two members of the same group are hosts for different music shows at the same time. It feels good to be able to monitor sunbaes and hoobaes every week this way."
When asked if Minho had given him any MC advice, Key replied, "Honestly, I think I suit the 'lighthearted' image better than Minho because I give off a more natural feel. If I keep on doing what I've been doing, I think this role will fit me well."
He continued, "I think 'M! Countdown' chose me as a fixed MC after seeing how I perform as a special MC. Since this isn't my first time hosting, I am not so much anxious as I'm thinking, 'Do I fit this role well?'"
To celebrate Key's new position as MC, SHINeehad a special performanceof their older, hit song "Love Like Oxygen".SHINee said, "We practiced yesterday and realized we remembered a lot more than we thought we would. We can't forget this song because it's the first song we got number one for on 'M! Countdown'."
In other news, SHINee just wrapped up their solo concert 'SHINee WORLD 2014 ~ I'm Your Boy ~ Special Edition' at the Tokyo Dome. Their Japanese single "Your Number" sold 130,000 copies in their first week and hit #2 on theOriconcharts.
