SHINee’s Key will soon be hosting his own variety show

On July 31, it was reported by a news outlet that Key will be the MC for the new variety show “Cheongdam Key-Chin” (working title), which will be broadcast via KakaoTV.

The show was said to have a concept where Key will invite guests and cook for them, as well as listen to their worries. It will follow the format of a reality show, but with Key taking a role similar to a talk show MC. The report stated that the show is currently preparing for its first filming, with a date not yet decided for its premiere. In addition, it will also be broadcast in Japan on DATV.

In response to the report, a source from SM Entertainment stated on July 31, “It’s true that Key will be appearing on ‘Cheongdam Key-Chin.'”

Key is currently a cast member of the tvN variety show “Amazing Saturday,” and has previously shown his hosting talents on shows including “M!Countdown,” the recent Mnet songwriters competition “Breakers,” and more.
