[ASKKPOP] Sangchu denies report of resuming activities with a celebrity basketball tournament

Mighty Mouth's Sangchu's rep denied the report that he will be participating in a celebrity basketball tournament as his first public activity since his discharge.



According toMBC Sports Pluson the 15th, 'The 1st Annual Korean Star Celebrity Basketball Tournament' will open at Yongin Gymnasium on the 15th with 6 celebrity teams including the 'Our Neighborhood Arts and Physical Education' ('Cool Kiz on the Block') team, and will be aired weekly until March 19. But what caught eyes was the reported addition of Sangchu in one of the teams, spurring mixed comments about whether or not it would be appropriate for him to appear on broadcast since his past scandal.


However, Sangchu's rep denied the report to Maeil Kyungje Star Todaythrough a phone call, stating, "There are no plans at all for [Sangchu] to attend a celebrity basketball tournament. After confirming with him, he said that he can't play basketball well. He is not even part of the team."


MBC Sports Plus also admitted that it also had been a mistake on their part including his name. 


Meanwhile, the celebrity basketball tournament will begin today at 5 PM KST, and will be aired live every Thursday until March 19.
