Shinhwa's companyShinhwa Companyhas changed its name toShinCom Entertainment.

Shinhwa Company is currently in a legal battle withJoon Media on the cancellation of the trademark usage contract as well as failing to distribute the profits of concerts. The company revealed that they have changed the label name to ShinCom Entertainment.

Joon Media is a company has the rights to trademark 'Shinhwa', as given bySM Entertainment. The label's trademark is limited to albums and songs that are released only in Korea. Currently, ShinCom Entertainment has won a part of their suit to cancel the contract on the trademark. But they have currently filed an appeal to the part they lost.

To cease further problems of trademark, ShinCom Entertainment will stop using the trademark. Ever since Shinhwa's 11th album, the company has stopped putting the name Shinhwa on their album and used only the logo. They will continue to do this in the future as well.

The label said, "Since we have an ongoing suit with Joon Media, we changed our name from Shinhwa Company to ShinCom Entertainment to prevent even the smallest problem. We believe Shinhwa is not a trademark, but a name that the 6 members and fans have protected for the past 16 years. ShinCom Entertainment will do our best to protect the name Shinhwa. Please keep watching over us."
