So Ji-sub shoots a cameo for 'The Throne'

ActorSo Ji-subrecently finished shooting his cameo for the period film"The Throne".

The movie features a stellar cast, including actorsYoo Ah-inandSong Kang-hoand actressMoon Geun-young. It centers on the story of The Throne, a crown prince from the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910).

In the movie, the 38-year-old actor plays the role of Jeongjo, one of the kings of Joseon.

"He will appear for just a few scenes. He was requested by the director of the film", said an official from 51K, the actor's agency.

The period flick is directed byLee Joon-ik, who has produced hits such as "The King and the Clown" (2005) and"Hope"(2013).

So has been away from the screen since his last drama series "Master's Sun" (2013). He has been working on his music instead and released the hip-hop album "18 Years" last June.

Having started out as a fashion model in 1995, the actor has appeared in numerous films and drama series, including "Ghost - Drama" (2012) and "Road No. 1" (2010).
