Song Kang-ho Sets Record for Drawing Over 100 Million Moviegoers
Films starringSong Kang-hohave attracted over 100 million moviegoers in the combined numbers of audiences, according to Warner Brothers Korea on Wednesday.
In 2015, veteran actorOh Dal-soobecame the first actor to achieve the feat with supporting roles in a string of box-office hits, but Song is the first leading actor to do so.
Song started as a stage actor and made his film debut in "The Day a Pig Fell Into the Well" in 1996.
He appeared in a number of hit films including "Swiri" in 1999,"The Host"in 2006,"Snowpiercer"in 2013 and"The Attorney"in 2013.
His latest movie"The Age of Shadows"has attracted some 7.02 million viewers.
