[ASKKPOP] Staff Pick: mssylee's Current Top 10 Songs Playlist

I believe that you can tell a lot by the songs that a person listens to. I am the type of person who goes from genre to genre and from generation to generation when it comes to music, but which ten would I put on a top ten list to recommend to our readers?

Check out my top ten songs that are on endless repeat at this moment down below and see if you agree or if you can find some new tracks you'd like to add to your playlist!

10. No.Mercy "0 (young)"

Initially, I wasn't interested in 'No.Mercy'because it reminded me too much of 'Mix&Match' x 'Show Me The Money,' and the content itself wasn't so interesting. I only started to get interested in the show when "0 (Young)" was released. I was already hooked in byMad Clown's powerful intro then fell in love with the chorus. Honestly, I don't really know why I like the song so much. It's just good.

9. B.A.P "SAVE ME"

Ever since their debut with "Warrior," I had a feeling that B.A.P would be one of the more talented groups. Despite the fact that they are currently dealing with contract dispute issues with their agency, their music still resonates and this is honestly one of my go-to songs. The lyrics to the song describes and illustrates the state of confusion and the different feelings that a person goes through when experiencing a rather destructive relationship.

8. Jooyoung "You To Me"

Jooyoung is one ofStarship Entertainment's finest artists. Unfortunately, he's also Starship's most underrated and under promoted artist. Like many R&B artists, he has soft and whispery vocals that tickles your eardrums. The slow jazzy beats help bring out his soulful vibrato and especially the  falsetto ad-lib towards the end. Sure, it might not have an addicting (and a super repetitive) hook; nevertheless, the song is breathtakingly beautiful and well produced.

7. F.T. Island "Falling Star"

Okay, I'll admit it, I am aPrimadonna.Hongki's powerful yet controlled vocals makes my legs go weak. I will also admit that I am a huge fan of the garage band sound: the guitar riffs, and heavy drum beats. The kind of sound that makes you want to just jump out of your seat, throw up your band hand in the air and shake your head until you feel like getting a concussion. It's fast, it's fun, it's the song that will have you do all that's listed and more.

6. Sunggyu "60 Seconds"

"60 Seconds" has the best of both worlds: Sunggyu's vocals +Nell's trademark electro sound. It's not your typical mainstream song that places high on the music charts, which explains the low interest for the track, but it is a song that is perfectly crafted to target the niche indie community. Many fans might agree that Sunggyu's voice is pretty much a hit or miss, either you freaking love it or you despise it. If you couldn't tell already, I'm on the former side and it's just great to hear his voice for a full 4 minutes.

5. Jonghyun "deja boo"

I'm actually really glad that Jonghyun debuted as solo artist with such a diverse album. I would have never imagined such great chemistry betweenZion.T, who is basically still an indie artist, and the super mainstream pop artist, Jonghyun... but wow! The song is refreshing and fun. "Deja Boo" is classy yet fun and contains a great balance between both mainstream and indie sounds. It's a sound that get me excited for the next release.

4. Swings "Victorious 2"

I love motivational songs. It helps me get hyped up, start fresh from something bad, and keeps me inspired. Swings not only keeps himself motivated with "Victorious 2" but also inspires his listeners with impeccable flow, an addictive hook, and fresh punchlines, especially the hook whereGraysings, "I'll win, I'll achieve everything. Like hulk, I'm going to push the walls in front of me. Even if it grinds my bones, even if it hurts, I'll tear them down one by one. Like dominos."

3. BEENZINO "If I Die Tomorrow" (Cover By Ilhoon)

If you haven't yet heard of Ilhoon's rap, or thought nothing of it, this is the song that will change all of that. This is one of few moments when a cover sounds much more attractive than the original.

2. iKON "LONG TIME NO SEE"

Given the fact that iKON has not yet debuted and have only been in two competition shows, the amount of presence and charisma that each member exudes in this performance is outstanding. I especially loveB.I's rap where he narrates his journey in couple lines and then turns it to a sweet love letter to his fans. I would also personally like to listen to a version withKoo Jun Hoe.

1. CRUSH "HUG ME" FEAT. GAEKO

I love songs that sends chills down my spine and come back up to caress my heart, and Crush's "Hug Me" does just that and more. The singer has a swoon-worthy voice that makes me blush and giggle like a little girl. Although his moves are a bit awkward in the MV, Crush is still on the top of my list cause' with that voice, who wouldn't want him?
