The show goes on for Mint Life fest

With many concerts and events being canceled in the aftermath of the Sewol ferry disaster, organizers of the indie music festival Beautiful Mint Life said they will continue with their show, kicking off tomorrow as scheduled.

"We never thought about canceling any of our previous shows despite big incidents that happened at the time", said Lee Jong-hyun, the producer of Beautiful Mint Life, in a statement.

"Music and performances do have the function of entertainment. But we also think that they can act help many people heal. There must be people who have longed for our music, and I think it is right to proceed and keep the promise that I made to them".

He also said there would be no banners or signs to show condolences to the victims but that pins would be given out, which say, "Be Strong Now".

The festival, now in its fifth year, runs for four days, this Saturday and Sunday, following by the following weekend, at Goyang Aram Nuri in Goyang, Gyeonggi.

Artists like Jaurim, Glencheck, Daybreak, 10cm,Kingston Rudieska,Yozohand Peppertones will perform.
