The top 10 foreign cities that South Koreans visited the most in 2016 revealed

South Koreans traveled a lot more in 2016 compared to years past.  


It was estimated that South Koreans' oversea travel increased by about 14% or about 2,200,000 passengers in 2016 compared to 2015, according to theKorean Tourism Organization. So which travel destinations were the most popular among the Korean travelers?Interpark Touranalyzed the data of international travel reservations made between January to December 11 in 2016 to see the travel trends of Koreans.  



There were a total of 1,205 cities tracked by Interpark and out of that total, the top 10 cities make up 43.8% of the total. Most of the cities in the top 10 are within a 4-hour travel distance from South Korea. European cities such as London, Paris, and Rome that used to be in the top 10 were booted from the top 10 in 2016 as travel to Europe decreased.
