[ASKKPOP] YG Entertainment, Mino, & Mnet apologize to 'Korean Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists'

It was reported earlier that the 'Korean Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists' wasdemanding that a formal apology be madefor WINNER's Song Min Ho (Mino)'s offensive lyrics heard in last week's episode of 'Show Me The Money 4'. Hearing about the matter, it turns out, the idol as well as his agencyYG Entertainmenthave both sent in a letter of apology to the association.

The KAOG stated through a press release,"This morning, Mnet, YG Entertainment, and Song Min Ho have each sent letters of apology. Mnet's production staff also called to tell us that everyone affiliated with the program will personally visit to apologize in person. YG Entertainment also called to ask if there are any further steps that they should take to remedy the situation.

We have determined their apologies to be sincere, so we are accepting their apology. We also hope that a sincere apology will also be delivered to the women of Korea, and that this will help break the stereotypes about gynecologists and their practice."

According to the KAOG, a letter was sent to them signed by both YG Entertainment and Mino, detailing their mistake and sincere regret. The letter also apparently said that Mino had no intention of stereotyping or offending women or gynecologists, and that they will take caution in the future to not make the same mistake.

Mnet also recently issued a press release acknowledging their mistake and carelessness, and deleted the video clips of Mino's performance as well.
