YG denies they're preparing Black Pink's sister group
Despite earlier reports claiming thatYG Entertainmentplanned on approachingBlack Pink's marketing with a similar strategy to brother groupsWINNERandiKON, the label has stepped up to deny everyone's suspicions.
A representative of YG stated regarding earlier reports,"We have no such plans."
The rep continued,"Like most large companies, YG houses over 50 trainees currently working hard to debut, but nothing has been decided thus far on whether the trainees who were excluded from Black Pink will form a team by themselves, or form a completely new team with other trainees."
Fans may have to wait a little longer to see some of YG's other talented trainees debut, after all. Meanwhile, Black Pink plan on debuting some time in late July, with resident producerTeddyin charge of wrapping up their debut album production. The girls are reportedly also planning to film 3 debut MVs.
