During Park Ji Yoon's comeback showcase for her single album 'Mr.' held at Ilchi Art Hall in Cheongdamdong, Seoul on the 21st, Yoon Jong Shin shared, "It seems Park Ji Yoon received a lot of help while working with J.Y. Park."

"I met up with J.Y. Park and personally thanked him. I am aware that J.Y. Park gave Park Ji Yoon hard training. Maybe that's why her basics are so solid. She learned well under JYPE. J.Y. Park is known for his perfectionism, and in my eyes, she possesses sturdy basics, perfect pitch, and a good sense of rhythm. That all came to me like that. I liked requesting songs for her to do, and I think she learned well."

He then revealed that Park Ji Yoon was one of the original inspirations for J.Y. Park's infamous 'half-air half-sound' technique."As she recorded songs under JYPE, she learned her singing skills... I think it's because she has been receiving vocal training since elementary school... The original singer of the half-air-half-sound technique is Park Ji Yoon."
