“Mr. Sunshine” Rises Above 15% in Korean Drama Ratings

Mr. Sunshine starring Lee Byung Hun and Kim Tae Ri keeps doing its thing by impressing each week in Nielsen drama ratings. This week it landed at 13.3% for episode 13 on  Saturday and then saw a nice jump up to 15.6% for episode 14 on Sunday. It’s amazing to see those numbers just keep rising as it continually brings in new series highs.

Mr. Sunshine is set during the early 1900’s and is about the romance of a soldier (Lee Byung Hun) of the righteous army and an aristocrat’s daughter (Kim Tae Ri). It follows the story of the soldier who got on a U.S. military expedition as a child and grew up in America. As an adult, he then returns to Korea as a soldier during the final years of the Joseon era. It comes from writer Kim Eun Sook of hits such as Goblin and Descendants of the Sun.

Mr. Sunshine airs Saturday and Sunday on tvN.
