10. Orange Caramel"Catallena"
Agency: Pledis Entertainment
ReleaseDate: March 11, 2014

At first glance, the unexpected sushi girls concept might get us thinking, "Wow, they must really want to stand out." However, after we dig deeper into the MV, it's easy to see that their concept nor the outfits were just randomly pieced together. In particular, the part where the girls are sealed inside the packaging and on sale in a 3-for-1 deal alludes to the short expiration date that idol groups have nowadays. The MV comically illustrates the harsh and fiercely competitive K-Pop industry where each idol group has to work hard so they don't get 'eaten up.'

03.Epik High"BornHater"
Agency: YG Entertainment
ReleaseDate: October 18, 2014

By far, one of the best MVs to release in the year 2014. Full of meaning and word play, "Born Hater" was a true masterpiece. There are two ways to interpret the concept of the MV: first is the fans' interpreation that it has to do with the seven deadly sins, and second is what the artists actually revealed it to be, which was that each rapper represents the haters they have in their individual shots. Whichever light you see the MV in, the MV is equally great.

It shouldn't come as a surprise that Akdong Musician's "Melted" placed first in the list of top 50 MVs list. To our relief, there is a happier twist to the narrative as the young boy finally meets a friendly stranger who helps 'melt' his frozen heart.
