29.TeenTop"Missing"

Album: TEEN TOP EXITO

Agency: T.O.P Media

ReleaseDate: September 15, 2014

allkpop Review

TEEN TOP's "Missing" is different from the norm. It doesn't have the typical heavy electronic beat nor the excessive layers that overpowers the vocals. "Missing" starts off with Niel's beautiful harmony, which hooks the listener's attention. This mid-tempo number really reinforces that TEEN TOP have matured and are ready to graduate from their teenage-angsty image.

26.HyunA"Red"

Album: A Talk

Agency: Cube Entertainment

ReleaseDate: July 28, 2014
allkpop Review

HyunA's "Red" is addictive because it plays on the old school chant that South Korean children enjoy, linking one noun to an adjective then back to a noun and so on. Unlike the chant, HyunA's track is undeniably seductive and the beats are busy enough to make you want to get out of your seat. Disregarding some of it's rather vulgar implications, "Red" is definitely one of the guilty-pleasure tracks of 2014.

25.VIXX"Error"

Album: Error

Agency: Jellyfish Entertainment

ReleaseDate: October 14, 2014
allkpop Review

This is one of the most memorable tracks that VIXX has ever released. From the distorted piano instrumentals to the intentional scratches bringing the song to its climax, it's clear that the producers of "Error" put in some serious work. The vocals are great, the husky rap compliments the vocals, and the lingering emotions are definitely there.

24.BTS"Danger"

Album: Dark&Wild

Agency: Big Hit Entertainment

ReleaseDate: August 20, 2014
allkpop Review

It's obvious that BTS is one of the rookie groups with a very bright future and "Danger" is one of the tracks that adds on to the anticipation of their progression. The frustration is real with these boys as they scream that they are sick of getting played, a feeling that many of us can relate to. You can actually feel the charisma oozing from the song and it's no surprise that their performances are just as powerful as their tracks.

Soulful vocalist Lee Hi teams up with Akdong Musician's talented vocalist Suhyun and iKON's dreamy rapper, Bobby for "I'm Different." The three are three of the younger artists in YG Entertainment, but their work definitely was more like a veteran masterpiece with an impressive blend of both dark and light vocals. Epik High experienced one of their best years with their newest album, 'Shoebox.' Out of all the songs on their excellent album, "Born Hater" brought about the most response from the audience, mainly due to the aggressive tone of the track geared towards 'haters.' The overall production of the track was flawless and the individual stories of each rapper was just an added bonus to the track.
