Han-sang (Jo Dal-hwan) did everything he could to protect rookie employee Yeon-yee (Goo Jae-yee).

Deputy Han-sang is pathetically isolated within the office. Yeon-yee was one of the very few who actually approached him with no prejudice. Han-sang felt interest in her and took very well care of her. He got her help for her work and even midnight snacks. He even switched her imitation earrings for real ones.

He begged the executive director Yeong-cheol (Kim Yeong-hoon) to take in a great employee in his department when Yeon-yee said she wanted to switch teams. However, Yeong-cheol didn't seem that interested and instead told Han-sang to meet his girlfriend the next day and break up with her for him.

Mi-yeong (Song Min-ji) added to Han-sang's embarrassing image at the office. Still, when Yeon-yee showed her appreciation for him, he said, "Would you like to buy me dinner?"

However, only Han-sang thought of it as a date and Yeon-yee only thought of him as her superior.
