"Late Spring" officially headed to Tokyo International Film Festival

The movie"Late Spring"has been invited to the Tokyo International Film Festival in the non-competitive World Focus division.

"Late Spring"was invited to the Santa Barbara International Film Festival in January in the World Premier International Competition and was also asked for appearance at the Arizona International Film Festival in April. In the May Milano Film Festival, it was nominated for Best Film, Best Actress and Best Cinematography.

In July, it was awarded Best Film and Best Filming in Dallas and Best Film and Best Actress in Madrid.

"Late Spring"is a record holder in and out of the country as it was the first Korean movie to be put on in the opening ceremony at the Gwangju International Film Festival in 11 years.

Soon the movie is heading towards the 2014 27th Tokyo International Film Festival which is one of the oldest Asian film festivals that have young director introducing new genres or visions.

"Late Spring"is based in the late 60s during the Vietnam war. Joon-goo (Park Yong-woo) is a craftsman who is slowly being paralyzed and loses the will to live. Jeong-sook (Kim Seo-hyeong) is his wife who sympathizes with her husband and sets out to find a new model. Min-kyeong is a mother of two and suffers from poverty and abuse when she is offered the nude model position. This film is due at the end of the year.
