[ASKKPOP] 'Superman is Back' ranks #1 in its time slot for the 44th consecutive week

Everyone loves, or at least knows how popular 'Superman is Back' is, so it probably comes as no surprise that it's been recorded as #1 in viewer ratings for the 44th week in a row!


Nielsen Korearevealed that the latest episode on May 3 had a 14.9% viewer rating. That was a 0.3% increase in ratings from last week's episode, making it the 44th straight week of maintaining the number 1 spot in its competitive time slot. This means the variety show has been #1 for 11 months in a row!


Even though TV ratings are generally much lower in Korea than they used to be in decades past, due to the influx of online streaming, this trend does not seem to have affected 'Superman is Back'.


That's probably due to the ridiculously adorable kids in the show, including the triplets, the twins,Choo Sarang, andUm Ji On.
