Xu Zheng


Xu Zheng(born April 18, 1972) is a Chinese actor and filmmaker, best known for his comedic roles.A 1994 graduate of Shanghai Theatre Academy , Xu first established himself in theatre in his hometown Shanghai . He rose to national stardom in 2000 with the wacky romance TV seriesSunny Piggy, in which he co-starred with his future wife Tao Hong .Following other successful TV dramas such asLi Wei the Magistrate(2001) andLove Through Different Times(2002), Xu turned more and more to films, starring in comediesCall for Love(2007),One Night in Supermarket(2009) andLost on Journey(2010).In 2012, Xu's directorial debut filmLost in Thailandwhich he also co-wrote, co-produced and starred in, raked in over US$200 millionto become the highest-grossing domestic film in China's history . Xu is also known for frequent participation in Ning Hao 's films, including leading roles inNo Man's Land(2013) and the huge box office hitBreakup Buddies(2014).
