Overview

Nuestra Belleza Latina is a beauty pageant and reality show produced by Univision. 12 young women selected by the judges compete for the title of Nuestra Belleza Latina, as well as winning cash prizes and becoming a personality for Univision. It's hosted by talk-show host and actress Giselle Blondet, who does the audition process and is also the mentor of the winner for the year of reign. The first season premiered on March 27, 2007 and was one of Univision's highest rated shows. The opening theme for casting till the finalist has been performed by past winners Alejandra Espinoza, Melissa Marty, Greydis Gil, Ana Patricia Gonzalez, Nastassja Bolivar and Vanessa De Roide. When the finalists are chosen, the opening theme changes showing each contestant, excluding eliminated contestants. It is distributed by Univision including Puerto Rico, it's also distributed in Mexico by Televisa. The current Nuestra Belleza Latina crown holder is Marisela Demontecristo from El Salvador.

Nuestra belleza latina 2007 ( 2021-09-26)

Nuestra Belleza Latina 2007 was the first season of Nuestra Belleza Latina. After castings around the United States and Puerto Rico 12 finalists moved to Miami and lived together where they received different classes of dancing, runway, diction, teleprompter and physical training. The finalists also competed against each other in different challenges. After each episode of the show was over, the audience at home got to vote for their favorite contestant by phone or text message. Contestants represented themselves, not their countries, therefore it was permissible to have more than one contestant from the same country or have the same nationality. Week by week the finalist with the lowest votes was eliminated. The winner of the contest won a contract to be one of the new personality faces on many of Univision's programs and award shows, and a chance to win more than $200,000 in cash and prizes and reign as Nuestra Belleza Latina for a year. Alejandra Espinoza representing Mexico was the first winner.

Nuestra belleza latina 2008 ( 2008-02-29)

Nuestra Belleza Latina 2008 was the second season of Nuestra Belleza Latina which premiered on February 2008. Auditions were once again held in five major US cities and in San Juan, Puerto Rico. During the audition process, 75 young women were given passes to the semi-finals in Miami, Florida. The elimination process was quick, with 15 women leaving the first week, 40 on the second week, and finally, on March 28, 2008, 8 women were eliminated leaving the 12 finalists who will be moving into a Miami mansion were they will be living together for the rest of the competition. Each week, viewers will have a chance to vote for their favorite finalists. The three women with the least number of votes will then be in danger of being eliminated. However, two of the women in the bottom three will have the chance of being saved, one by her fellow finalists, and the other by the judges. Melissa Marty, a contestant representing Puerto Rico, won the competition.

Nuestra Belleza Latina 2009 is the third season of Nuestra Belleza Latina premiered on March 2009. Auditions were once again held in five major US cities and in San Juan, Puerto Rico. During the audition process, 75 young women were given passes to the semi-finals in Miami, Florida. With the twist of adding one more contestant named "La Intrusa". For several weeks, Francheska Mattei, a professional actress, posed as one of the contestants to know the rumors, secrets, and even gossip from the girls. The elimination process was quick, with 15 women leaving the first day, 40 on the second week, and finally, on tba, 8 women were eliminated leaving the 12 finalists who will be moving into a Miami mansion were they will be living together for the rest of the competition. Nuestra Belleza Latina 2010 is the fourth season of Nuestra Belleza Latina and also the fourth season to be aired on Univision. The season premiere was Tuesday March 9, 2010 at 10pm/9c. It had been speculated that the show was moving to Tuesdays as its original time.The show will continue Sundays at 8pm/7c. The auditions were shown Tuesday, March 9 and Thursday March 11 10pm/9c. Auditions were once again held in five major US cities and in San Juan, Puerto Rico. During the audition process, 73 young women were given passes to the semi-finals in Miami. The final two tickets were given after an online voting took place February 26, 2010. Julian Gil, which was also the third judge in Nuestra Belleza Latina 2008 replaced previous Judge Jorge Aravena from Nuestra Belleza Latina 2009. The winner of the contest wins a contract to be one of the new personality faces on many of Univision's programs and award shows, and a chance to win more than $250,000 in cash and prizes and reign as Nuestra Belleza Latina 2010 for a year. Contestant Ana Patricia González Representing Mexico, won the Competition. She is the second contestant representing Mexico who has won the competition. First being Alejandra Espinoza in 2007

Nuestra Belleza Latina 2011 is the fifth season of Nuestra Belleza Latina and the fifth season to be aired on Univision. The season premiere was on March 6, 2011 at 8pm/7c and the show's finale was Sunday May 22, 2011. The auditions will be shown Sunday, prior to the final 12 are reveled. Auditions were held in January through February 2011 in five major US cities and in San Juan, Puerto Rico. During the audition process, 73 young women were given passes to the semi-finals in Miami. Two contestants were chosen from online Auditions, with the help of public votes. The winner of the contest was awarded a contract to be one of the new personality faces on many of Univision's programs and award shows and a chance to win more than $250,000 in cash and prizes; be a correspondent for El Gordo y la Flaca and reign as Nuestra Belleza Latina for a year. As an added bonus, only four contestants were eligible for the prizes in the finale. Contestant Nastassja Bolívar, representing Nicaragua, won the competition.

Auditions were held from December 2011 to February 1, 2012 in six major US cities Auditions were also held in San Juan, Puerto Rico. During the audition process, 54 young women were given passes to the semi-finals in Miami. Two additional contestants were chosen from online auditions, with the help of public votes. The winner of the contest will be awarded a contract to be one of the new faces on many of Univision's programs and award shows, along with a chance to win more than $250,000 in cash and prizes. She will also become a correspondent for one of Univision's top shows and reign as Nuestra Belleza Latina for a year. As an added bonus, the winner will appear on the cover of Cosmopolitan Magazine. The winner of the competition was Vanessa De Roide, who represented the island of Puerto Rico.

Auditions were held January through February 4, 2013 in seven major US cities and in San Juan, Puerto Rico. During the audition process, about 75 young women were given passes to the semi-finals in Miami. Two contestants were chosen from online Auditions, with the help of public votes. The winner of the contest will be awarded a contract to be one of the new personality faces on many of Univision's programs and award shows; a chance to win more than $250,000 in cash and prizes; a brand new car - Kia Forte; appear on the cover of Cosmopolitan en Español magazine and reign as Nuestra Belleza Latina for a year.
