Hyorin dissociates herself from Starship trainee Exy on 'Unpretty Rapstar'
Two additional contestants joined the ranks of 'Unpretty Rapstar 2,' giving the rappers something to get tense about. The new rappers were revealed to be aStarship Entertainmenttrainee namedExy, andRubber Soul'sKim.
Exy introduced herself as "I'm a trainee underHyorin's label."YubinandJiyooncomplained, "This is an uphill battle." Hyorin also expressed her discomfort, saying, "I don't know the trainees all that well. When I was a trainee, no one took care of me. So I don't take care of them either," trying to disassociate herself with Exy as much as possible.

During the interview with the production crew, Exy admitted, "I worried that they would say it's name selling. But if I wasn't talented, I don't think they would have let me on 'Unpretty Rapstar.'"
Despite being a trainee, Exy proved herself a more than able rapper during her introductory rap and the battle with male rappers.
