[ASKKPOP] YG Entertainment looking into taking action against the singer who claims Taeyang's 'Eyes, Nose, Lips' is originally his song

Recently the accusations made by a singer namedDerrick Bullockhas been causing a fuss in the Kpop world, for he claims thatTaeyang's "Eyes, Nose, Lips" is actually plagiarized from his own song "Change Me".

Derrick Bullock released his song oniTuneson August 12, 2014 and uploaded it on YouTube before that on July 31, 2014. With a growing number of Kpop fans taking notice and pointing out that the background track is extremely similar to Taeyang's "Eyes, Nose, Lips" (released on June 3, 2014), he wrote on his video description,"Derrick Bullocks single (written 4 years ago contrary to popular belief) documentation and dated video feeds are available from 2008 video taping me composing this music. It DOES NOT belong to a Korean band - it was stolen from me and used in music in Korea 4 years ago. Before you start telling Derrick he stole this music, get your facts straight. Video and paper documentation are available for proof that all rights belong to Derrick Bullock."

With comments becoming blocked on the YouTube video, fans flocked to leave their angry responses on his iTunes page, writing,"The melody for 'change me' was stolen directly from Korean artist Taeyang's 'Eyes, Nose, Lips'. This is not ok! You can't make it in the music industry by pirating music!!","Did you even ask permission from CEO Yang or Taeyang that you'll use the instrumental???", and more.

The issue grew enough to the point thatYG Entertainmentalso took notice. The agency toldSports Donga, "Currently the agency has looked into the content in question, and we're currently preparing a countermeasure."

It seems the agency also requested for the video to be taken down as it was removed from YouTube due to copyright claims.
